Probably the only way is to help prepare with them or talk to them about it.
I gave a friend of mine a hard time for not rinsing off the soap before putting them out to dry.

Just to be clear:
Vegetable rinses aren’t particularly necessary. Vegetables won’t have the oily coating skin does/can.
You do, however, need to scrub it. It’s honestly a bit of a Catch-22 because if you don’t also clean the vegetable brush everytime, guess what’s a bacterial buffet?
