Coaches’ salaries do not count towards salary cap as well so they can afford it. For instance their operating income was 159m last year. They can afford to pay Hurley $12-15m per.

Yeah think I was thinking of some articles I’ve read that the Lakers income is like the sole income for the Buss children compared to some of these billionaire owners but you’re right the franchises income is one of the highest in the league and should be enough to pay him.

Lakers and Knicks just print money man. They don’t need to win to be profitable.
