Because there’s an entire country named Georgia 🇬🇪
And they stole it from the state of Georgia, USA.

yup I knew that (isn’t it where Macon and Atlanta are?) but I didn’t realise that it and the country have the same name. Thanks anyway!
It is where Macon and Atlanta are, and the name Sherman is still hated down there.
