Sounds like your attitude isn’t “I don’t know” but rather “I believe”. They’re not the same. In my view the default position should be agnostic atheism until such a time as you can be gnostic in either direction.

British Christian here, with an engineering degree. I think knowledge is a good thing. But it’s not the only thing; faith is important too. Balancing the two can be tricky because we always want more “why?” and God isn’t always going to answer that. But He is good, infinitely good, there is no evil in Him, and He has promised to be with us forever. There are times when you just have to switch your analytics off and trust, and find the peace within “I don’t know.”

I can think of a couple of quite evil things he did… allegedly. It’s even written down.

It’s tautological to them. Anything we’d consider evil he did because it creates the most good. All evil, by that view, is in pursuit of the greatest good.

Oh I know, but there is some things that are objectively evil, like killing children. And since their god is omnibenevolent and all knowing, then there is no point in killing children, unless your god is either evil or not omnibenevolent, you can’t have both.
But yeah, there are things you just have to accept that these extremists just take for granted, like they are so chosen/special that they can have the cake and eat it.

Jesus popping up and drowning children isn’t an imposition of will apparently.

The scary thing is that we’re the fringe. Somehow we’ve got a planet full of superstitious weirdos - the people saying “yeah, can I see some proof?” are the outliers.

God cast out the fallen angel from heaven and placed him in charge of hell so Lucifer could continue to spread evil around the world. God is the reason evil exists in this world.
Any being godlike or otherwise that can cast somebody that they supposedly love into a place like hell is an inherently evil being.
More atrocities have been committed in the name of God than to anything else on the face of this planet to this very day.
The idea of a jadeo-Christian God is single-handedly the most destructive Force humanity has ever created.

“Infinitely good”, yet murdered every man, woman, and child on the planet except for one family. He could’ve done it quickly with the snap of his fingers, but he chose to drown and starve them all over 40 days.
He’s “infinitely good” but he’ll condemn you to eternal torture and suffering if you annoy him.
No you don’t. That’s just what you say when you don’t want to listen to reason and instead do and believe whatever the hell you want.
