cheaper and no worse than the odds you get from buying in shops, because they are often the same things

If it already supports wired Iâd leave it at that. I preffer my wired carplay headunit to my wireless one, even though the wireless unit is bigger better and faster. But it might be helped by kia getting off their asses and releasing a software update!

I have an aftermarket older Joying headunit in a 2010 honda, that only runs Android Auto by using an app called Headunit Reloaded. Car is on the way out so not worth replacing. Up until recently it worked great through wifi hotspot or wired connection. For some reason now though, the joying unit will not recognise wifi and the wired connection hardly ever works. No firmware fixes as is a couple of generations old now. Thinking for $25 itâs worth a try. Supposedly will work with my setup.

Thats only true if youâre going to replace it with something super modern that does support carplay. You might end up buying a second hand 2012 lancer that contained the WORST head unit tech youâve ever seen in your life. And thats saying something coming from me, since I previously owned an Impreza which has the second worst head unit youâve ever seen.

@TinyBreak @calhoon2005 yes, but what style of head unit works best in next "new" car can vary, so a $25 option that might fix current issues is a worth tool.
