volunteer mods allow things like The Donald to exist.
Anyone can make a Lemmy instance with the equivalent. And some instances will defederate from it.
There already is gab on mastodon which is basically that. And yeah everyone sane defederates.
Lemmy has freedom of speech without the freedom of reach Reddit provides.
