What’s more depressing is half the public won’t support it because of who presented it.
Comment on Bernie Sanders unveils 32-hour workweek bill with no loss in pay for workers

It’s depressing, he’s very good at unveiling bills that the general public will support, but will never pass. One day the government will work for us

It will not. Governments do not exist to serve the people. They exist to control the people. The good news is that government is not necessary.

It won’t pass now (most Dems would vote it down, to say nothing of the Republicans), but it’ll gradually shift the Overton window. As the idea of shorter working hours appears in more places, people will be more inclined to entertain it rather than immediately rejecting it.

Lol, the Overton window is not shifting left in the states, no matter how many bills Bernie attempts to get passed. Biden tried to give the republicans their militarized border, there are twice as many migrants detained at the border than when trump left office, record oil production, record homelessness, he breaks strikes and gives weapons to countries committing genocide. Y’all are sliding towards fascism, regardless of trump.

Is that why Americans don’t have vacation and sick days?
