Comment on Do reasonably priced non-Bluetooth headset exist?
Lifecoach5000@lemmy.world 1 hour agoFair question and it’s rather petty but I would like to be able to walk away from my computer to ky kitchen while still on the phone. It seems that gets me just out of BT range enough to where I lose connectivity.

Do you think it could be the headset’s Bluetooth range that’s the issue? Maybe another headset with a better chip may have better range?
I bought some really cheap Bluetooth headphones off AliExpress that did that to me. I was at the gym and it would constantly lose range just having them in my ears and my phone seated on the treadmill’s tray area, just above my waist and I’m not a tall person at all lol. Compared to other Bluetooth headsets like AirPods or Beats earbuds that had a much larger range and didn’t behave that way.
