shalafi@lemmy.world 4 days agoAt the very least, dozens of bomb techs spent months tearing into walls and planting explosives at night, then fixing it all up. And thousands of people working there didn’t notice anything? And that only addresses on part of the thing. Thousands of people would have had to be in on a conspiracy and never in human history have thousands of people been able to keep their mouth shut.

There were indeed witnesses of the work going on in the basement of the World trade center. And most industries operate through compartmentalization, in which the lowest-paid worker grunts actually doing the work have no idea exactly what they’re installing. They’re given just enough info & tools to get the job done. That’s how secrets are kept. By one incredibly powerful guy at the top not telling anyone below him why they’re performing a task.
