There was a scene like this in the original King Kong, which made the test audiences run out of the theatre in terror, so it was cut. So Jackson replicated it and made it terrifying enough even for today’s audiences.
I had nightmares about it for years, the part in the meme in particular.

Yeah sounds bad. All my trauma are from real world experiences.
But I just bought the PJ King Kong so I might watch it. I don’t remember this scene at all.
