Bolt cutters would make quick work of those cables; but for a cheaper solution, you might see if you can get a couple of flat head screw drivers into the top of the notch where your fingers are in the picture. I’m guessing that’s part of where the plastic cage comes apart when it’s unlocked, so it could be a good leverage point if you wanted to try just forcing it open.
