I ended by checking out Sonic for The Game Gear
The issue with the GG Sonics are that you have 3 pixels in front of you, and you die if you touch anything wrong. I understand that it’s a Sega hero, but they really failed with that game. Also the levels are way too hard.
I grew up with that stupid game and I still hate it.

Part of the problem with the Game Gear Sonics is that most of them are the same games as their Master System counterparts, but the screen is cropped. The design decisions including the fact that the boss stages have no rings are the same level of bullshit between both, but in the Game Gear versions you have even less time to react to things.
