Okay but did they vibe coded this port by themselves or did they even check the code base for this? This is different from repackaging a legit game with a crack. Like a crypto miner could be hidden inside the code base that even a virus scanner won’t find. Since the compiled binary won’t show any patterns that match with known malware.

Why do you have such little faith in the scene? Anytime a torrent contains something nasty in it, the community lets everyone know about it almost immediately. I’ve been downloading cracks, hacks, keygens, and repacks since the 90s, and I’ve never had an issue with a virus/trojan/crypto miner/etc. Use common sense and you have nothing to worry about.
