Scientists who write their papers with an LLM should get a lifetime ban from publishing papers.

Also if we could diagnose the entire world we would find many people who would fall on the high-functioning side of the spectrum. Many people just go undiagnosed for their entire lives. I bet autism is way more common than the science tells us today.
- Comment on Ubi, it's $70 and people are vary of your mile wide puddles that drop 75% in price after half a year 3 days ago:
Yeah but it was the other side of the spectrum. It weren’t right wing racist who were mad but SJWs who didn’t see the movie and don’t understand that the word Samurai in the title is plural not singular.

8K TVs are all LCD and $3200 is on the low end of 8K TVs. So yeah of course you’d get a trash image.

it’s just not the US. I live in the Netherland and many people here think OT and bonuses are taxed differently, because they see a higher tax rate applied to it on their slip. They forget that their base salary covers multiple brackets and a tax credit. Thus has a lower average tax rate than their OT and bonuses which falls in their top bracket or even a bracket above.
- Comment on Deep Rock Galactic roguelike dev says innovation for innovation's sake is too expensive to survive: "We're a studio of 50 people with bills to pay" 1 week ago:
And too much innovation will alienate people anyway. People want something new but at the same time want something familiar. If it’s too out there people can’t relate with it, especially before the purchase, and feel it’s too risky to spend time and money on. And for the people who do try it you still need to convince them to push through the beginning stages of the game. Since very innovative gameplay comes with a steep learning curve and not just skill wise since it breaks conventions there is also a cultural (in the gaming sense) learning curve.

This is what ChatGPT says:
This is “Raccoo,” the main character from the indie 3D platformer Raccoo Venture (developed by Diego Ras). In the game, you can unlock different outfits for Raccoo—one of which is the blue, Eastern-inspired costume shown here, complete with the little floating lantern companion.
At least it’s a real game

That’s barely a billion dollars. And it’s a private company if there is a valuation than somebody bought a share in the company, he doesn’t own 100% of the company. So he’s at most only a Krona billionaire.

- Comment on Anon is smarter than a genius 2 weeks ago:
Sure Wozniak invented the Apple I and II. But if he never met Jobs his inventions would have stayed a hobby and Apple would have never existed. Woz also didn’t push for an OS with a GUI (which was revolutionary back then) that was Jobs’ idea. Not to mention that Woz has nothing to do with Apple’s comeback. He has been an honorary employee since Jobs left. Woz is a genius but people give him way too much credit just like they do with Jobs.

EVs weren’t viable for long distance travel before though. Like batteries didn’t have the energy density they have today. The advancements in battery tech relied heavily on the advancements in computing tech. Like for battery research, manufacturing and battery management. And research in computer technology has never stopped.
Even if they never stopped making electric cars, they would have stayed short distance vehicles for a long time since battery tech didn’t advance fast enough. We might have gotten long distance EVs a decade years sooner but definitely not decades.

Remember that story of that guy who outsourced his work to India and he played videogames all day. Then years later got fired and couldn’t find a job because his skill set and knowledge was years behind. Don’t use up all your time on useless shit since you never know when that golden goose will stop laying eggs. Might as well find a second remote job where you only have to spend 3 hours a week on and double your income.
