Well I was hoping it meant indoor sneaking levels like MGS2 and not MGSV gameplay.
- Comment on Just months after reportedly cancelling two live service games in development, Sony announces a new PlayStation studio with a live service game in development 29 minutes ago:
Yeah the only reason I’ve have bought a PS 1 to 3 was to play Metal Gear Solid. I have bought neither the 4 nor 5, since no new MGS was released on it ( I played MGSV on ps3). A modernized Syphon Filter with improved stealth gameplay would definitely make me want to buy the PS5.

For most things people bring on vacation it wouldn’t be a problem since chargers and power supplies can run on multiple voltages. It’s for things like hairdryers where you need converter. Since they are calibrated for a specific voltage to create heat. Though you could probably run them at half settings on the double voltage.

Nope. So don’t plug a 120V hairdryer or corded drill in those things.

I’m Asian-European and in my experience there are many Asians who are right wing racist shit heads. Not to mention all the self hating Asian women who hate every Asian man on the planet including their own family members.

It’s not just gamers it’s in almost every corner of geek fandom. Remember how a bunch of loser feels attacked Kelly Marie Tran because they blamed her for the new Star Wars slop.

Yeah if you only look at Triple A then it looks barren. But small and indie studios have filled that vacuum.

This game can also be played solo, for anyone curious. And even solo it’s fun to play just a bit harder since no one can revive you. It’s not like Lethal Company where it’s almost impossible to solo after the first few rounds.
- Comment on Liquid Trees 4 days ago:
And trees that are planted in cities are not seeded. They are grown in a forestry until they reach a certain height. And then dug up with machines transported with machines and then planted with machines. The CO2 produced to plant a single tree also takes quite a while to be absorbed by that tree.

- Comment on What are some good examples of "Where the fuck do you go" kind of games? 5 days ago:
I sorta had the same problem with Ocarina of Time. Was stuck in the Deku Tree basement. Didn’t know you had to use a stick with fire to burn cobweb. I thought the game was broken and was thinking about returning the game until I accidentally solved it by fucking around. Not sure if Navi explained it or not, but my English wasn’t very good when I was 10 and the game didn’t had my native language as an option.
- Comment on Valve's invite-only Deadlock has an even more exclusive top-secret hush-hush version 5 days ago:
How is this news? This is always the case if a game has a public play test, even if the public play test isn’t open. There is always a play test with smaller exclusive group with a much newer version. And above that there is an even smaller group who plays the latest nightly builds, those play testers are in-house employees.
- Comment on Game design question : how to make a "trapped" player character? 5 days ago:
The princess has to find out where she is and how to get there and communicate that via a magical bird to her castle. She can find all the info in the magical tower she is in. Like a point and click adventure/escape room. The game should be full of puzzles the player needs to solve to procure more information for her knight in shiny armor.

- Comment on Do you think Square Enix should remake other Final Fantasy entries? 1 week ago:
If they ever gonna remake 8 it needs to be one game, just a solid 20-30 hour experience. The story needs a rewrite anyway. It is bloated and the dialogue has too much cringy emo shit. Would translate horribly to voice acted dialogue.
I think they should stick to turn based combat and just modernize it like Persona or Clair Obscur. As an FF fan I don’t like the modern action based combat the series have turned to. It doesn’t feel like a proper FF game. And the action gameplay just isn’t great. They should create a new series for these type of action games that doesn’t have to carry the FF branding so they don’t have to tack on these final fantasy gameplay elements to the action combat and turn it into a half baked mess.

- Comment on Could I render the computer-generated graphics from Toy Story (1995) in real time using a single modern home computer? 2 weeks ago:
With a modern game engine and PBR shaders you can definitely get the same look as the movie. If you try to render it exactly the way they did it with a software renderer on the CPU then maybe. Their rendering software, Reyes, didn’t use raytracing or path tracing at all. You can read about it here
graphics.pixar.com/library/Reyes/paper.pdf
I only skimmed it but it seems what they call micro polygons is just subdivision. Which can also be done realtime with tessellation.
