IDK when you grew up but I saw both as a kid on Nick @ Nite. I Love Lucy in the 90s, Fresh Prince in the 2000s.
Comment on Anon has beef with Nickelodeon

Also, I meant recently as in the last decade. When I was a kid, Nick at Nite was stuff like I Love Lucy and Bewitched. Yes, I’m old.

Born in the early 80s. I don’t remember Fresh Prince on there as a kid, I watched it when it was airing on its first run.

I was 2-years-old when Fresh Prince first aired, which explains your perspective. The show wasn’t relevant to my tastes until I saw it as a teenager in the 2000s.
I don’t know why Nick @ Nite skipped several decades of television, going straight from 50s and 60s shows in the 80s & 90s to 90s shows in the 2000s, but it worked out for my childhood enjoyment so I’m not complaining. It would also help explain why I’m not really into 70s and 80s culture at all.

It’s cause Viacom does not want you to know about how good Norman Lear sitcoms were (All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Maude, Good Times, Sandford and Son, etc.). Going from those to whatever the 80’s had on really makes you think that Regan ruined everything.

I haven’t really watched it since like 2010 tho
