A lot of people, religious and otherwise, take a degree of comfort seeing the final journey be made by their friend, loved one or family, that all humans eventually take.

I understand that, but the post above highlights that there needs to be discretion to such an invite.
Placing it in a public space increases the risks of bad actors coming into stream and ruining the event for everyone. People have done such things for less.
I would’ve forwarded the obituary through a private family group or messenger as opposes to a socmed.
