    Most states you have to park at least 15 fert away from any hydrant. This is far too close, they are WELL within their right to bust windows, or flatten your car to get to the hydrant. Usually they ram the car out of the way. And its all on the owner for not following a basic law.

    All that being said this is an AI image, and was likely just bait or the poster didnt know and had a bad day with the firefighters. Who knows.

      3 feet away is insane, I’d expect at minimum a clearly visible marking on the street. Where I live, the hydrants aren’t even visible, just small iron plates in the ground; never heard about any issues with firetrucks accessing water.

        Also, they almost always are, there are a ton of regulations on how visible they must be, and usually include yellow marking on the curb where you must not ever park.

        Sounds dangerous, and I’m certain there have been problems you just haven’t heard of them. People don’t pay attention, and something invisible is getting parked on. Car brains and all.
