LOL. What are you, 18? You think letter writing and call in campaigns do anything? Man, voting doesn’t even do anything. These people don’t work for you and they don’t care what you think except as far as they can keep you working and not trying knock over their gravy train. They don’t give a shit about angry phone calls or letter or email or petitions. They haven’t cared for at least century.
Listen. Go research the civil rights movement. Go look at the black voter turnout and tell me that the reason civil rights passed is because of voting. It wasn’t. It was because of riots. How do we know? Because both the Ds and the Rs were forced to capitulate in successive terms. Nixon had to do a ton for civil rights because people were in the streets threatening to shut the system down. And then you know what he did? He launched the drug war to further criminalize black people and the hippies that supported them. And you know who stepped right up to help? The Democrats. Because that’s who both parties are. They are racist, misogynistic, genocidal PR firms providing spin to different audiences so that the population doesn’t try to stop the empire.
