A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices, that can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena with a mimicked theme.
Memes carry a lot of meta data that is unspoken, a single meme can be worth a thousand words

using media to convey ideas is concerning, using the lying machine that destroys the planet, good actually!

Using only media and memes to convey ideas looks indeed concerning to me, take a look at sopuli.xyz frontpage: most of it it’s memes and there’s not a single text thread
You can run AI locally on your computer and it will destroy the planet as much as a playing a videogame would do.

The problem is the medium of memes doesn’t convey ideas well, if at all, and helps promote thought-terminating ideologies and ignorant partisanship. If you can fit the idea into a meme, it’s probably oversimplified to the point of uselessness, and if the meme relies on you already knowing the real idea, it’s not informing anyone of anything.
