TragicNotCute@lemmy.world 5 months agoSolid advice. You don’t even need to be good to have a good time or make friends. Also, some of the best games of golf I played were with dudes 40 years older than me full of stories for a time I wasn’t alive for. Highly recommend.

You should at least practice enough to be okay though. Otherwise you will likely slow down the game and piss more serious players off. Even if your group doesn’t care, the group behind you might.
