Adam Sandler is a great actor in more serious roles, but his comedy is pretty cringe. I love Happy Gilmore.

I think he’s also quite good in uncut gems, but my opinion isn’t final. I only made it through 35 minutes of the movie so far and am still recovering from the stress eight months later.

I would agree with this statement.
Adam Sandler can act really act in dramatic roles (Punch-Drunk-Love, Reign over Me, Uncut Gems, etc)
When Sandler produces a comedy, yeah; it tends to be bad. When Sandler is just the actor, it’s a different story.
Props to Sandler to realizing that movie studios will pay him money to go on location to shoot movies and hire his friends.
