Like the other person said, dupe detecting bots can use ocr, and changing text like cropping out one letter might be enough to fool it

X@piefed.world 1 week agoWhat’s weird is that it seems like the S was left out for some reason, such as if someone pasted “amsung” and didn’t bother to correct it. I’d expect the first letters of each line to be similarly truncated, but they aren’t. Quite the mystery.

The R in RTX 5090 is also cropped, and snapchat indents the text chat enough that the messages are still okay. Minor mystery solved?
