Well there actually was this one DC “hero” called Dogwelder who, well, welded dogs to people’s faces. With a welder that looked suspiciously like a plasma cutter. Maybe Batman teamed up with him.
I thought you were joking, but I had to check, and, no, there really is a character called Dogwelder.
