Yoshi, since OG MK.

Because when you get stopped by weapons fast acceleration helps.

I did try out dry bowser as well for a while. I thought it might have been the key to beating 200cc.

I finished it with Yoshi.

I will say one thing- it ain’t like riding a bike. I can’t power slide in OG SNES Kart like i used to!
