DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 15 hours agoYou’re right, the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s all had distinct styles. That started fading in the 90s, and unless you look closely, the nearly three decades since are all very similar.
I think we can rightly blame capitalism for homogenizing our culture, and spreading it around the world. And, even if we can’t, I still will, and also fuck Mark Zuckerberg just because I haven’t said it yet today.

The 90s had a very distinct style just like the other decades you mentioned - grunge. Then going into 2000s it was crap pink
