The right wing base does not demand purity tests.
What convinced you of this? I’ve seen this claim before, but I’ve never seen it backed up by anything.
For example, does the right-wing base support pro-choice candidates? How about pro-LGBTQ candidates?
The main purity test right now in the Republican party is simply whether an elected leader is willing to be completely subservient to Trump.
Naw, it’s about Israel.

You never heard of a RINO? This is exactly how conservatives have managed to pull the party so far to the right.
If we abandon our principles we’re no better than they are. That being said, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.
There are some things which should be non-negotiable. One of them should be free and universal health care. That seems eminently reasonable, since other developed nations have this.
anti-genocide should also be a non-negotiable ‘purity test’ as well, to the dismay of many establishment Dems arms-deep in AIPAC money
