My local city council gave Doordash a 5 year exclusivity contract in good delivery in our market, which led slowly to all of the local pizza places and Asian food places getting rid of their delivery drivers, so even if I want a local pizza delivered from a local pizza place, I still have to use Doordash.

  And that pickup, by the user or a friend or someone they paid themselves, is for some reason or another completely out of the question.

    The same services usually do both, so why are we judging the people getting a pizza but not the one getting some groceries?
