Uruanna@lemmy.world 3 days agoYou also got the Superman summary wrong because Hawkgirl does drop the guy from the sky at the end and it’s made very clear that no one catches him. He dies. Superman doesn’t drop-and-catch him, just pins him to a cactus. That doesn’t stop him, which is why Hawkgirl later flies in, points out she’s not Superman when the guy groats that she won’t do shit to him, and then she cracks his egg.

Reddit kept recommending me some sort of sub about eggs, I thought it was about It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It wasn’t, but at least I understand your joke now.

It cuts to a different scene when he hits the ground. I thought it was someone cracking an egg to eat, thus the joke, but I just checked and it’s someone dropping an effervescent tablet in a glass. Close enough.
