Yes, but why would you put the burden of proof on the person accused of spreading medical misinformation, especially given the circumstances?
Wouldn’t it be far simpler and more direct to expect that if a person is accused of something like that and banned for it the one doing the accusing and banning be able to point to specifically what they had an issue with, so that everyone can easily verify that specific thing is medical misinformation if they’d like?
Idk man, same reason you have to cite sources for your college papers.
It isn’t a college paper. It isn’t a research paper. It’s a post on a social media platform, in a community for a specific topic, detailing my personal experiences with that topic.
Do you cite sources for every post and comment you make here? Who do you see doing that here?
No, of course I don’t. But when you say:

And then push back when people ask you to explain, that makes you non-credible, and a likely explanation that the post got removed.
Because it looks like AI, and nobody has time to trudge through all the AI drivel.
Many users read it and we were having several conversations in the replies. The only person who failed to bother reading it was the moderator who deleted it because it was a long post had headers to help break it up and make it easier to read.
The community averages one single post per day. If a moderator is not capable of “trudging” through the one single post from the one single user posting in their community per day before deleting it, then they should not be moderating the community.
Doubling down when called out for removing a post without bothering to read it by banning the user for a falsified reason is also not the behavior of a person who should be running any group, much less one proclaiming it to be the safe space to discuss mental health issues here on Lemmy.World.

That is the most bizarre personal attack on someone I’ve ever seen even including reddit… They wrote almost a page of information on their issue. And you the MOD of a community specifically set up to impartially address issues on .world. Decides to pull out a SINGLE sentence and use it to attack them?
Why? That’s just wow.
Just as a FYI people with mental health issues seeking help on a mental health community don’t bring their credentials expecting to “tested”. As a supposedly “impartial” mod you might want to keep that in mind.
