  You may just not deal with these same insufferable young folks that actually ARE priveleged and are upset they dont get everything handed to them. I’m not talking about the average Lemmy user with a masters degree struggling to put in 400 job resumes. Not the same people.

    Even if you guys are right, and im inclined to agree with you, you both sound like smug assholes

    You can say things without being an asshole, but

    you know also what makes someone a smug asshole? budgeting, eating right, exercising, and all the stuff we all know that are good for us

    is just being an asshole for no reason. Nobody said or implied any of those thing, they’re just tilting at windmills because they want to talk shit and don’t like being told they’re talking shit.

    They didn’t even initially mention privilege, just “young people,” so being told to tone down the hate is warranted.

  yeah, people think you’re an asshole when you don’t do what they want.

  my dad thought i was an asshole my entire life, because I didn’t like football.

  i don’t think people are assholes for not liking football, clearly that makes me an asshole!
