But the lids are so flimsy. I know one of these days that heavy glass is gonna become thin plastic.

Lucky!! Nice work

That ia true, and i don’t really think of it as a waste. But I have guilt that I always MUST BE DOING SOMETHING
- Comment on Anon is not satisfied 1 week ago:
I actually do know people who do this. Its pretty crazy to me. Like I game a decent amount, then feel bad that I wasted that time. So I do a bunch of projects and get out of the house to feel better. I guess these people don’t have that need, which must be kind of nice!

I hate to do it, but we should Shift the conversation to something else.
- Comment on EA reportedly shelves Need For Speed completely to focus on other projects 1 week ago:
I agree, except I feel shift 2 was a neat blip with cool features , for those who like circuit racing, which really isn’t what nfs is about though.

Oh I hated unbound. The music, voice acting etc was so pandering and gross. The animations were kind of neat though.

I LIVED for these games as a kid. They’re a shell of what they were. Luckily, i can play nfs hp2 on my ps2 all day long and live in 2002 happily !

You have a good point. But it’s there in your post; “feeling” connected. But for many people, they actually aren’t. They feel connected because of notifications and little dings that give them dopamine, much like a rat in a test lab hitting buttons for treats. Thats why I am surprised no one sees this.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 1 week ago:
Exactly. Keep the poors in their dumb little walled garden social media so they don’t ever learn everything. Thr average person now is terrified of the Internet if ut isn’t Google or meta. Ironically, the things they trust are the most evil of all by far.

Im one of the few on here that actually has a life outside of just my phone and computer, sorry guys. Those things are great but many are far too dependent and addicted to a fleeting thing.

Well Jimmy, people used to be humans and converse in person hard to believe I know.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 1 week ago:
I feel the same ! Like are we this brainwashed ?? Plus theyre not even reading articles or anything to improve themselves, it’s endless TikTok scrolling. Also, im not old, and I can still see it. So it’s not really an old person thing. More of a “have we literally become idiots addicted to a shiny screen” type thing.
- Comment on Contributions 1 week ago:
I agree… I feel this way often especially now when an ai can write, make music and movies, and no one can actually tell the difference, there isn’t much point to creating anymore. Unless it’s solely for you and you don’t want to show it to anyone else.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 1 week ago:
Am i the only one who wishes this was common? Put your stupid phones away. How have we not matured enough to not be so addicted to little flashy lights.
- Comment on What's up with the sudden increase in AI slop? 2 weeks ago:
There’s really nothing good about ai if you really look into it. MAYBE medical advances, and thats it.
- Comment on Nextdoor Nightmare 2 weeks ago:
Its mostly for lost pets and being mad that a brown person existed near your neighborhood.
- Comment on Half a million Spotify users are unknowingly grooving to an AI-generated band 2 weeks ago:
This is what I’ve been saying for years now. Idiots are going to consume ai without knowing it at all. Sad what humanity will be in a few years. Even dumber.

Thats unfortunate…but my city is like 200k people so that maybe helps. 6 libraries
- Comment on The Harbinger of the Dystopia 3 weeks ago:
Actually a lot of libraries do events. They have separate areas for it
- Comment on The Harbinger of the Dystopia 3 weeks ago:
And the right+libertarians want to destroy libraries too.

I have a bit flat yard i don’t use and I hate boring grass. I want part of it to just grow. Would you recommend dig up the current grass and throw some native seeds out, or just let the grass and plants grow themselves and weed anything bad out (like creeping jenny)

Ughhh. Sadly, this will be the norm. And when they start lying about it, you wont even know youre consuming full ai content. Yay.

Yeah, I’d much rather take a train than plane. However, where I live, I seriously need my car and I enjoy the freedom of driving. I am not in a huge city with rush hour traffic though.
