Played Sega gt 2002 on my (real) XBOX the other day. So fun.
I think its best to ignore they ever made anything else.

Very true.
Theres no innovation any more. We basically saw the peak in the 2000s of innovation. It is now solely driven to suck us dry of every cent and steal our data to sell it back to us on a subscription model.
Vr is one fun new tech though. Its also not new, we had vr in the 80s. It was awful ofc.

Ahhh I see. you are speaking of the electronic bleep blorps! Yeah, I mean electronic one could argue started in the 70’s as well but yes.
Also I’m not sure that hardware was ever that low priced. Good hardware has always been spendy. But anyone could still make that music today if they wanted to . The synths are still around. Propellerhead reason is still out there for free if you wanted.

I’m confused at this comment, but recorded works have been around since the 1800s.
“Modern” techniques started in the early 70s for recording and multitracking.

I always see this stuff and really it has nothing to do with age. I think its the kid or parents interest in teaching and learning. When I was 9 I knew what an 1899 Victrola was. I knew what typewriters were and had a couple. I knew what a john Deere single row plow was.
I’m not really a history buff though. I just figured throughout life that we should know about things that came before us. I keep learning more about old things and some new things daily.
I think its just ignorance. If you are 13 today and seriously dont know what a CD is, thats just idiocy. maybe if you dont know what a cassette is I’d get it, but still. Its not hard to learn.
- Comment on Weird 1 week ago:
Yeah I get that. “Old” to me is maybe around the 80s. I grew up around a lot of 80s stuff.
The music i listen to (since I was little ) is usually 60s through 80s, because those are the records I had. Some 90s and select new indie artists now too.
An “old” car is a 1969 chevelle. A 1991 f 150 is not an old car. The Xbox 360 is new. Etc.
A huge thing about this is the tech. We went through insane technical revolutions in a super short period of time. Kids now dont have that. GTA 5 is how old, 14 years?
Tech basically peaked in 2012. Nothing has really been improving or groundbreaking for the common person since then. I think thats why when I think of 2012, I think oh yeah bout 4 years ago huh.
I mean my 2010 macbook still works perfectly. My 2001 windows 98 laptop, not as much.

Automated lights last about 2 years before the fucking sensors break and cost thousands to fix. Give me back my stomp switch 😁

Totally agree. The first game mechanics were best.

Another thing, say “I get to”. “I get to do laundry!” “I get to go to sleep soon!”
It does help

Such an awesome.game. good review. Shame its not more popular.
- Comment on Does anybody actually work from 09:00 to 17:00 4 weeks ago:
Usually 8am to 5 30 or 6pm for me.
We are supposed to record 9 hours of work on our timesheet daily. Sometimes there isnt enough work but then you just do goals or organize shit or read some how to’s. I hate those days. I like being busy.
It is long days though. A 6 hour day would be fantastic but I’d get nothing done. Today, I spent 4 hours opening a program on several different remote PCs because it kept crashing.

Yeah exactly , but we are trying. The majority dont even try.

Why have any subscriptions ? You own nothing then.
I’d rather ask Patchy 🫣

Yeah I get the specific use cases for it. Thats fine. They’re not the issue. Its the clueless people using it when they dont need to at all
- Comment on It's unacceptable that people like Jeff Bezos exist. 1 month ago:
Yeah even cutting back would be good.
I haven’t been able to convince a single person of this. They’ll just keep their prime and Netflix sub’s while getting fed even more ads and paying for them. They think “this is the world” and dont even know how to change.
Coworkers were talking about their $200 or more cable+subscription bills the other day. I felt pretty good that day. People waste a lot of money.

Thats something I’d be all for
If youre able but unwilling to work, you get a decent living. Apartment and free healthcare.
If you want to put in effort, then you get to have fancier things. It makes sense. Thats how it should work now, except there’s zero safety net for those who can’t work.
- Comment on Anon needs a job 1 month ago:
Yeah, it does suck. There needs to be more assistance for those people

Yeah, ive read grapes of wrath! Excellent book.
Your example of a mop is silly though. Like, you can totally get a used mop at a garage sale. Or just dont use amazon for it at least if you must have a new one.
Also, have you not heard of eBay?? Yes, its full of shitty China amazon resellers too, but there’s real items there as well as tons of other sites people sell on.
My main point is, we are addicted and brainwashed to new shit we absolutely don’t need. If people thought about reducing and reusing for 1 second we could topple corporations. But no. Must have new. More oil to make more plastic shit to go to landfills. Throw out the TV when it breaks because nothing is repairable now etc get a new phone yearly etc.
- Comment on amazon can afford to treat its workers with dignity 1 month ago:
No you can’t. Not in crony capitalism. Any honest business will go under, be bought out, or turn corrupt. If you are a multi millionaire or billionaire, you are absolutely evil.

I’m not blaming poor people. If anything they are smarter about what’s happening vs the upper middle class .
I was more complaining about the stupidity of upper white rich class folks listening to fox news and Joe rogan, with zero critical thought, who got us into this shit even worse.
But yes, its 100% the billionaires fault. I see no way to undo their damage unfortunately. As you said, the lack of education and brainwashing has people firmly in their wrong beliefs and they won’t change easily, if ever.
Now we wait until the collapse
- Comment on Anon needs a job 1 month ago:
Keep saving up then!
I would actually like to move someday, but its so nice and cheap here that I’ll take driving to places I like over living there and being poor.

I understand it, I just choose to live in less populated areas. I don’t believe humans should be crammed together like sardines in the millions. Sad way to live, for me.
- Comment on Anon needs a job 1 month ago:
Ah, I do feel bad for ya. Tbh you probably deserve way more pay than me. I can’t do any of that stuff.
Maybe there is just too many people in the world wanting the same job. Idk how to fix it!! I’d be all for automating everything as much as possible but that just leads to us being destitute slaves with no agency even worse than now. At least right now we have a tiny bit of power with our labor, which is all we have against the ruling class
- Comment on Anon needs a job 1 month ago:
I wish we could test this to be true !
Who’s going to get your garbage or run the sewer plant ? Who’s going to take care of the sick crackhead in the ER? Who’s going to fix your roof in July? Thus may sound mean, but I sure as fuck ain’t doing any of that for free.
It seems people think all jobs are working the front desk at best buy or being a waiter. There’s so many jobs you have no clue about behind the scenes of your everyday life.
