- Comment on Socially inept, introverted employees. How do you survive the workplace? Because I’m in dire need of some serious advice. 5 days ago:
Seems like maybe that’s one of those jobs where you have to be buds with people to get along and make it look like youre part of the team. I’d imagine police or fireman or military work is a lot like that (guessing).
I’ve never worked those jobs but I can say for dang sure the second you start to buddy up with managers and such and get invited to bars with them, you make more money and do less work. Its bullshit and I left that job because the introverts doing real work were under rewarded while people who talked loud a didn’t do shit got promotions.
- Comment on Periodic reminder to get your library cards and fill out museum surveys. 5 days ago:
People are baffled when I say I use the library. They’re brainwashed by big tech to think that “no one uses that now” . Pretty frustrating since its the only 3rd space left and people are trying to get it shut down (why should MY taxes pay for that!! We have INTERNET ).
I hate people.
- Comment on Zuckerberg says people without AI glasses will be at a disadvantage in the future 1 week ago:
There’s hardly anything left. Anything developed now is for BUSINESS LINE GO UP ADD MORE FEATURES because its all been done, we have perfected computing 15 years ago. All this is just slop features for the rich to get richer off our data. Every single new tech “innovation” is for surveillance and capitalism/fascism.
Really the iPhone was the last actual innovative tech thing to be “invented”. The only thing left now is better energy production, and maybe health advances.
- Comment on US education 1 week ago:
I know people in my day to day who dont belive the earth is more than 2k years old, who believe there were never “cavemen”, and dinosaurs weren’t real. Baffling. This person is rich and has a ton of land. Education dont mean shit in freedom land.

I feel like I am being trolled, but if this is actually true, it sounds interesting

Don’t you get bored, or back problems from sitting at a computer 24/7 ?
- Comment on See their point 2 weeks ago:
This is actually not true at all for me. My music tastes completely evolved and still are evolving. Sure, if I listen to some 08 pendulum I feel some nostalgia, but I also feel nostalgia for 2112 in the same way. I think music is a comfort food for a lot of people so they never stray from what they know, which is fine. But there’s so much out there to find.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
Hmm, no, but you could get really really good at trucking or farming sim or bus sim and apply those skills to real life. That is something people have actually done.
- Comment on Google users are less likely to click on links when an AI summary appears in the results 2 weeks ago:
I purposely avoid them every time and I don’t use Google.

But the lids are so flimsy. I know one of these days that heavy glass is gonna become thin plastic.

Lucky!! Nice work
- Comment on Anon is not satisfied 3 weeks ago:
That ia true, and i don’t really think of it as a waste. But I have guilt that I always MUST BE DOING SOMETHING
- Comment on Anon is not satisfied 3 weeks ago:
I actually do know people who do this. Its pretty crazy to me. Like I game a decent amount, then feel bad that I wasted that time. So I do a bunch of projects and get out of the house to feel better. I guess these people don’t have that need, which must be kind of nice!

I hate to do it, but we should Shift the conversation to something else.
- Comment on EA reportedly shelves Need For Speed completely to focus on other projects 4 weeks ago:
I agree, except I feel shift 2 was a neat blip with cool features , for those who like circuit racing, which really isn’t what nfs is about though.
- Comment on EA reportedly shelves Need For Speed completely to focus on other projects 4 weeks ago:
Oh I hated unbound. The music, voice acting etc was so pandering and gross. The animations were kind of neat though.

I LIVED for these games as a kid. They’re a shell of what they were. Luckily, i can play nfs hp2 on my ps2 all day long and live in 2002 happily !

You have a good point. But it’s there in your post; “feeling” connected. But for many people, they actually aren’t. They feel connected because of notifications and little dings that give them dopamine, much like a rat in a test lab hitting buttons for treats. Thats why I am surprised no one sees this.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 4 weeks ago:
Exactly. Keep the poors in their dumb little walled garden social media so they don’t ever learn everything. Thr average person now is terrified of the Internet if ut isn’t Google or meta. Ironically, the things they trust are the most evil of all by far.

Im one of the few on here that actually has a life outside of just my phone and computer, sorry guys. Those things are great but many are far too dependent and addicted to a fleeting thing.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 4 weeks ago:
Well Jimmy, people used to be humans and converse in person hard to believe I know.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 4 weeks ago:
I feel the same ! Like are we this brainwashed ?? Plus theyre not even reading articles or anything to improve themselves, it’s endless TikTok scrolling. Also, im not old, and I can still see it. So it’s not really an old person thing. More of a “have we literally become idiots addicted to a shiny screen” type thing.
- Comment on Contributions 4 weeks ago:
I agree… I feel this way often especially now when an ai can write, make music and movies, and no one can actually tell the difference, there isn’t much point to creating anymore. Unless it’s solely for you and you don’t want to show it to anyone else.
- Comment on Ok, I'll pay you the 1995 price 4 weeks ago:
Am i the only one who wishes this was common? Put your stupid phones away. How have we not matured enough to not be so addicted to little flashy lights.
- Comment on What's up with the sudden increase in AI slop? 5 weeks ago:
There’s really nothing good about ai if you really look into it. MAYBE medical advances, and thats it.
- Comment on Nextdoor Nightmare 5 weeks ago:
Its mostly for lost pets and being mad that a brown person existed near your neighborhood.
- Comment on Half a million Spotify users are unknowingly grooving to an AI-generated band 5 weeks ago:
This is what I’ve been saying for years now. Idiots are going to consume ai without knowing it at all. Sad what humanity will be in a few years. Even dumber.

Thats unfortunate…but my city is like 200k people so that maybe helps. 6 libraries
- Comment on The Harbinger of the Dystopia 1 month ago:
Actually a lot of libraries do events. They have separate areas for it

And the right+libertarians want to destroy libraries too.
