If only normies realized this. They wont change. They have families and jobs, and dont want to use the brainpower to figure out anything other than fb messenger.
We are the .000001%. If that.

You’re a good parent. Id never give a kid a smartphone or internet access so early.

Ipad babies in restaurants blasting some insanely annoying brain rot peppered with ads? Its so common. Very dystopian.
- Comment on Sony is releasing a new PS5 console, but it's a downgrade 2 weeks ago:
Hell yeah. We should be boycotting them for taking our physical media, because it breeds complacency and that’s how they steal from us. You will own nothing and eat bugs.

because society pushes women to like these things under social pressure. it’s kind of gross. there’s nothing wrong with things women like, but this is manufactured. But hey, better than MAGA’s worshipping drump.
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
You’re right. Yes, there’s slowdowns in a lot of older games but not necessarily input lag. The slowdowns dont bother me hardly at all. I think you hit right on it!
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
Yeah it really does depend on the game, which is obvious, but still. Games that push the hardware are obviously gonna feel laggy

C64, for one!
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
Huh. To me that feels instant. You sure you had a working crt??
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
Im not certain what input delay youre referring to. It is likely very dependent on the games I play as well. Of course some of the older games pushing the hardware to the max were laggy when a lot of sprtes etc were loading.
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
Yes there’s definitely processing lag on some of those games where they were pushing it.
Then you have joust on the 7800 which is ridiculously smooth.
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
I wouldn’t play games my pc couldn’t run, for the aforementioned reason ha! I also dont buy new games until theve been out 10 years, because money.
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
I was actually not thinking about online games when posting this. Too many variables there.
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
Its ironic. Network latency has drastically decreased while game optimization tanked. Leading us back to where we were originally!
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 3 weeks ago:
I do play this on original hardware and crt. It feels so bad otherwise!!!

No you don’t understand. We’re the most prosperous we’ve ever been at any point in time. There was literally no other time better than this. Life is wonderful in every way

Cloud backup just means they will use all and any data on your pc and network to train their shitty ai to do more shitty things and continue stealing our data. Yay future.

I installed win11 in a vm just for fun, then ran the deblpat script. The amount of shit that removed was astonishing.
Still sucks ass but at least its not as bad as a damn emachine from 2005. Win 11 performance is so damn shit.

Its true. We can have a nuanced view. Im just so fucking sick of the paid off media hyping this shit, and normies thinking its the best thing ever when they know NOTHING about it. And the absolute blind trust and corpo worship make me physically ill.
- Comment on Socially inept, introverted employees. How do you survive the workplace? Because I’m in dire need of some serious advice. 1 month ago:
Seems like maybe that’s one of those jobs where you have to be buds with people to get along and make it look like youre part of the team. I’d imagine police or fireman or military work is a lot like that (guessing).
I’ve never worked those jobs but I can say for dang sure the second you start to buddy up with managers and such and get invited to bars with them, you make more money and do less work. Its bullshit and I left that job because the introverts doing real work were under rewarded while people who talked loud a didn’t do shit got promotions.
- Comment on Periodic reminder to get your library cards and fill out museum surveys. 1 month ago:
People are baffled when I say I use the library. They’re brainwashed by big tech to think that “no one uses that now” . Pretty frustrating since its the only 3rd space left and people are trying to get it shut down (why should MY taxes pay for that!! We have INTERNET ).
I hate people.
- Comment on Zuckerberg says people without AI glasses will be at a disadvantage in the future 1 month ago:
There’s hardly anything left. Anything developed now is for BUSINESS LINE GO UP ADD MORE FEATURES because its all been done, we have perfected computing 15 years ago. All this is just slop features for the rich to get richer off our data. Every single new tech “innovation” is for surveillance and capitalism/fascism.
Really the iPhone was the last actual innovative tech thing to be “invented”. The only thing left now is better energy production, and maybe health advances.
- Comment on US education 1 month ago:
I know people in my day to day who dont belive the earth is more than 2k years old, who believe there were never “cavemen”, and dinosaurs weren’t real. Baffling. This person is rich and has a ton of land. Education dont mean shit in freedom land.

This is actually not true at all for me. My music tastes completely evolved and still are evolving. Sure, if I listen to some 08 pendulum I feel some nostalgia, but I also feel nostalgia for 2112 in the same way. I think music is a comfort food for a lot of people so they never stray from what they know, which is fine. But there’s so much out there to find.

Hmm, no, but you could get really really good at trucking or farming sim or bus sim and apply those skills to real life. That is something people have actually done.
