yes, but they probably do it in steps, at first you can have only a handful, and not unlimited, and now its 1 person/account/device.

This one was always in place, the one they started enforcing a few years ago was the multiple households rule, which was slightly more draconian. I.e I paid for 4 screens, but then they decided the 4 screens all have to be in one physical household. Share it with your mum who lives 100 km away? You crazy?
Incidentally, that’s when I cancelled it. I was ok being limited to 4 viewers at a time (which also cost extra), I usually had 2-3 at the same time, rarely 4. But being limited to one physical location? Fuck that.
