Our car is white because that’s what they had in stock when we needed a car. I don’t give a shit what color my car is as long as it can fit and move my family and my stuff.

You can also see this on cars share i live. Next time you go outside, see what percentage of cars that are white, gray or black. Its the absolute majority. And then you have maybe 20% with different colors.

I cared a lot actually, even turned down a car because it was black.

No, it is because most are lease cars for companies, and they require them to be a neutral color so they keep their resale value for when they get changed by a newer model.

Fun fact: those “colors” actually hurt resale value.
Though there may not be a wide market for cars of interesting colors, the market that does exist continually pays more money for the privilege of a color. Especially in the used market and especially more still for “fun” cars.

Could be actually. In my country, white Teslas are everywhere and most are company cars.
