I got it shortly after it came out because everyone was saying how great it was, and I immediately bounced off of it. Every few years, I’ll go back and try again hoping I can find what people loved about it, but it’s just not my taste. I forced myself as far as Skellige one time, but only because I kept reminding myself, “If you get to a new area, you might get to play more Gwent.”
Comment on What games did you sleep on for too long?

Several years ago now I played witcher 3. It was released in 2015. I enjoyed this game way more than I thought I would and couldn’t believe I slept on it for 7 years or so before finally playing it

Nobody told me about Gwent when I started playing. I wish the standalone game was just that 🤣. I enjoyed the hell out of that game.
Too bad the games not your taste. The graphics, environments, the story, all really drew me in. The one DLC was in particular really good on the plot.

In case you slept on it: Thronebreaker is a great standalone Gwent-based RPG

I’ve not got to it yet, but ppl here have told me it’s still great in spite of its age. Just gotta finish baldur’s gate and control, then it’s next on my list.

A friend tried to talk me to into playing this one for years before I finally went for it. I should have listened sooner!
