Been thinking about doing the same recently. I first played it about a year after launch and didn’t even get into the DLC even though I bought it. I think I tried it and it was weirdly difficult, like this save beat the base game and I get 1 punched and do zero damage go enemies in the DLC area.
Started thinking I’d start a new save also. My first save was also corpo.

Man if that happens graphene is going on here so fast.

I got a steam deck and stopped buying switch games. When some new releases came out that I kinda wanted, I gave switch emulation a try. What a surprise how well it worked lol. Haven’t touched my switch since.

The funny thing too is I, and I’m sure many others, tend to gravitate to smaller studios now as the big ones are clusterfucked. Some of them don’t have the means to print physical copoes but got insanely popular so they only sell digitally.

Give me the machine for free if you want it to be like Netflix. I’m not paying for a computer fo pay for a subscription. Fuck that.

I like to own it, but I like the convenience of digital. I hate the restrictions of corporate digital titles. The bullshit that happened with Nintendo’s virtual cards really pissed me off. I have 3 Nintendo switches and when I get off the grid, digital cards are a bane. “Ok which one has the virtual game, which one has the physical game”? Pain in my ass.
But digital the pirates way is king. Having all my old Roms on flash is so easy. No bullshit.

It’s extremely difficult to grasp if you’re a complete moron and there’s money being dangled in front of your face.

Can it? Nvidia fucks me over every day with price gouging, shifting to AI, and making generally shitty cards. Microsoft fucks me every day by being a shitty partner, releasing shit vibe code, refusing to fix glaring bugs, maintaining a shit operating system.
I said valve hasn’t fucked me over yet. Those other two, they’ve fucked me for years.
If graphics cards weren’t the cost of what they are today, I already would have switched to amd. And I also dont run windows on my computer, either, so…

The thing is, they’re not a monopoly, they just have the best platform. There’s gog, epic launcher, and all the other ones I choose to ignore. They make everything too easy and convenient. I usually buy my games on steam, and if I really enjoyed them I’ll rebuy them on gog later on sale.

Yup definitely, but I rely too much on steam cloud for saves now so if I don’t have the game installed I’d still need steam to move them.

Yeah that’s a good point. I tend to hoard my games though. I like to come back to them, and if I was one of those people that already owned chrono trigger on SNES I definitely wouldn’t be buying at back at today’s price if I had previously sold it.

I agree, but there always seems to be buyers even at these prices.

Valve has fucked some over though. I get it. I don’t want some corporate overlord in 19, 15, 20 years just going “nope!” And deleting my purchased games.
Imagine ford coming to your house and taking your dads 1960’s mustang. “This isn’t supported anymore” and loading it up on a flat deck trailer.
Also a steam boy though. Valve has so far proven not to be evil to me and a majority. My deck and steam controller are easily repaired compared to the competition and very open in what you can do with them.
