I didn’t get it until absolutely everything is going wrong + no sleep, I had this weird urge to just be really mean to people who didn’t deserve it at all. I didn’t act on it but I can see why people would do it now.

In a sense I agree with him. You shall be judged by how you treat people who have limited means of retaliation. Like throwing garbage at homeless people, screaming at waiters/waitresses, meaningless petty acts towards retail workers. Fuck you. You are literally going out of your way to make any persons life worse.
