This guy: I’ll build my own frontend and shadowban everything I hate - down to individual users I had even just one slightly unpleasant interaction with - for all its users 😡
Wth man. The thing instantly became a meme. Say ‘whoopsy haha’, make the banlist optional or remove it and tomorrow nobody gives a shit anymore…
I don’t get people DMing the dev either tho. Especially stuff like death threats (if that is even true) because of random BS like this. It is one frontend for Lemmy. Surely one can do without it.

Yeah as I was reading this screed all I kept thinking was “what the fuck website is this guy reading” because I’m on here every day and I don’t see anything that looks like what this guy is describing. I don’t scream or yell or fight or issue death threats to anybody, I read thoughtful shit and I ignore thoughtless shit and I live my life.
This has to be some kind of mental illness. If you find someone truly offensive, and I haven’t really - how about… you know, block them? Oh, no no, imma sit down and stealth-edit my frontend script to block them for everybody and then get all butthurt when I get caught. Lashing out and blaming everybody else - so hot right now.
