It is supposed to feel somewhat confusing, because a lot of apocalypses occurred, and people couldn’t keep their histories for the next generations. Nomura just wants to say we are doomed, because we do not keep records well or deceive the future generation, thus we repeat the same mistakes over and over and over again.
