SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 3 days agoIt’s not specifically for horses, it’s just commonly used enough that it’s easy to source horse formulations. When the nutjobs couldn’t get the regular stuff from doctors, they sometimes bought horse paste.

It’s the main ingredient in your dog’s heartworm prevention medication as well. I’m no doctor, I’m sure there’s some human application of the drug, but I’ve always seen it in a veterinary context.
