  I think its because lemmy.world has defederated from lemmy.ml, which op uses.

    Geez, LW defederated from ML? I missed that. Team flairs would be cool. I prefer the lemmy online UI over the piefed one, but I’d access this community through my lemmy.ca account, so that’s a null point. .zip has cloudflare on all files and/or posts, which makes viewing those posts more cumbersome for me - there’s a captcha (unlike most Lemmy/PieFed servers). Idk if there’d be an anti-Canada sentiment among US users for .ca

    .Zip’s Newcomers page primarily points to a resource developed by the .ca admin. Their Announcements and Home pages feature what looks like AI slop images.

    I think .ca is well-admined. I’ve been a pretty heavy user for 3 years and am now a proud donator :D.

      I think I’m wrong about that, again don’t quote me on any of this. But from what I remember LW has defederated from a bunch of other instances and that’s what OP has a problem with. I don’t follow all the “politics” with Lemmy so I can’t explain further.

      OP made a post about it not long ago, you can search their history for more answers maybe?
