I had this happen to me once.
A woman asked me what was wrong with some technical thing and I explain that everything is just on crack and that’s why it didn’t work.
A bit offended, she declared she could handle a more technical explanation than that.
My response: “Well I can’t”

I actually explain all my technical problems to my wife and by explaining I usually find the issue
On the other hand, she does the same with me, so we’re evening each other out
