The algorithm knows this and calculates exactly how much you’re willing to pay for the convenience of a button. As soon as you get a date, they know and you get a notification: “you wouldn’t want to explain the bucket to her*, would you?”

No, I just observe enshittification. The real art is to legally (or legally enough) collect the required data, process them automatically to calculate each customer’s tolerance, and maximize profit while internalizing the risk of backlash against these unethical practices if they’re too obvious. I know the steps, but that doesn’t mean I could or would do any of them.
