    The brand “One Night Cough Syrup” had alcohol, chloroform, cannabis, and morphine as their active ingredients. Sure it worked great, being unconscious makes it harder to cough, plus coughing requires breathing, so it works on two fronts.

      One can hope. They’d stuff so much crap into medicine at the time, i wouldn’t be surprised if there’s mercury too
