8 (八 ba) is considered a lucky number in Mandarin due to its pronunciation similar to “fortune” (发 fa). So you get lots of things priced with 8 (also for telephone numbers, plate numbers, etc.)

Showing the price accurate to one-tenth of a Euro makes me feel uncomfortable. Is that €10.80, or is it, like, €10.82 and they rounded?

With Chinese currency, the smallest coin is ¥0.1, one jiǎo. 0.1 CNY = 0.013 EUR. They may not be familiar with the convention of always writing the hundredths place, even if it’s zero, used with euros or dollars, especially if they’re using Google Translate for the menu.
