That’s pretty much what I do for my mini bundts (6 to a tray). A silly amount of butter, and chill the tray so it stays outside the batter. No idea if this works non dairy. Maybe lard?

so all you baking mavens
I bought a new baking tray with twelve small molds for individual cakes, but they are deep
and hints on how to grease the molds so the little cakes come out whole?
I can’t put paper in as the molds are decorative
I was thinking lots of butter and then some flour to dust the inside

thanks, chilling the tray is a great tip 🙂

Unsalted butter + flour for sweet. Salted butter/preferred oil + flour for savoury.
That would be what I would do, after I wasted cutting baking paper and realising it won’t work lol

ok, never knew abut the salted and unsalted choice 👍
I might add a little fine sugar and cinnamon to the dusting flour, would that work?

I think so, but sugar has a habit of caramelising and becoming stickier. I’d stick with flour, as I’d be worried about sticky melted sugar in the pan. But I think combined with flour, it should be okay - I’ve never tried it tbh

ok, no sugar
