What did he do? All I could find is articles about his old edgy jokes that the alt-right dug up to get him cancelled. Which waa retaliation for him criticizing the goatfucker in Chief.

I mean they were nasty jokes, sure. But I don’t think he’s been accused of rape, much less goatrape?

Multiple “edgy jokes” about being a pedophile and raping kids, posted back and forth with a guy who was later found to own large amounts of CSAM.

That same guy also hosted multiple pedophilia themed house parties that James Gunn attended dressed as a catholic priest, and the women were dressed as little girls…

So I think it’s pretty obvious he’s a pedophile.

  This is actually all pretty unclear and anything’s possible.

  Said friend of his WAS sued for grooming a 15 year old and it supposedly lasted 2 years (the sexual relationship that is), but that was a civil case and they settled out of court. There’s no criminal case and nothing about CSAM I could find. No idea if they’re still friends either.
  
  I can’t find a single rape accusation against Gunn either, let alone a CSA accusation. No lawsuits, no criminal proceedings.
  
  What we DO know is that he told Ben Shapiro off for his old jokes and then someone (with a history of rape jokes of his own, ironically) went through his tweets from 10 years prior to find his horrible jokes. So he’s a hypocrite for sure. He also criticized Trump and this was the era of “everyone on the left is a pedophile or groomer” from Trump supporters. People were claiming he posted actual links to CSAM. He did not. Then some claimed he deleted 10k pedo joke tweets. He did not, he mass deleted 10k tweets at once, but only about ~20 pedo jokes were found, of which most were not actually pedo jokes but taken out of context. At the end what was left as actually unquestionably jokes about pedophilia were like 5 or 6 jokes.
  
  Unhealthy obsession? Sure. I wouldn’t let him near my kid, I can tell you that. Can we be sure he’s at any point in his life consumed CSAM or abused a minor? Not really, because there’s no evidence of either and even IF he’s attracted to minors, that in of itself is not a crime, but a psychiatric disorder.
  
  The other things that got glossed over were his jokes about Jews, AIDS, LGBT people, etc. As he said himself, in that era he was just trying to entertain or grab attention through shock value. And tbf, way too many people were in the 00s on the internet. Only morons did it on social media under their own names though, most people stuck to pseudonymous forums.

    Like I said, nothing strong enough that he could be convicted, but when a guy who goes to pedophilia themed parties says “I’m a pedophile”, even as a “joke” I’m going to just assume they’re a pedo, even if he calls out other pedos.
    
    And it’s not like he’s such a genius and vital part of our culture that we need to find justification for him.
