  It’s even deeper than that. They will have names and personalities. If you defeat one by cutting off its arm, it will reappear later with a prosthetic arm and maybe even some dialogue about your last encounter. They keep all the scars from your battles.

      I liked the first shadow of … game better but the general consensus is that the second game is better. If you like LOTR even slightly and also enjoy Batman Arkham style combat I think you’ll enjoy them.

      They are the Shadow of Mordor games, based in the LotR world. You play a protagonist who’s story takes place “behind the scenes” of the series. They go on sale or marked as free at least once or twice a year. I personally haven’t found time to play through them but always want to!
