Comment on Ermm Actchually

I’ve only heard people say “umm”, never “ermm”. Do people actually say “ermm”? Because, I’ve been seeing “ermm” in subtitles lately, even when the actor clearly said “umm”.
Is it a regional thing?

For me, “ähm” or “õhm” are more descriptive, an ö sound would be way too islandly. The damn island folks haven’t learned our precious õ yet!

Its an internet thing said on order to mock people who love jumping on others to correct them. Thats also why I spelled actually that way.
