I didn’t vote in the 2024 primary because the Democrats had an incumbent candidate, and never in my life has either major party weakened their own position by running viable candidates against them in the primary.

Well, they did swap out that incumbent at the last moment. Not saying that lost the election for them, but it definitely didn’t help the incumbent advantage
