innermachine@lemmy.world 6 days agoNo kidding! Do contractors in your country own their own equipment or is that a more common thing in USA? We have equipment rental places in the USA but I feel like any business that uses machines regularly ends up owning them. Feel like it would be weird to own equipment and have no way of transporting it LOL

I’m in Canada so I’m very familiar with contractors owning goose necks and large trucks, it just doesn’t work like that everywhere in the world. The more remote/small the community, the more it makes sense for small owner/operators to be able to haul their own equipment.
